Make desktop CDs available for jigdo download
Uses:
Andy tests installation of development releases. Instead of downloading entire Alpha CDs, Andy updates from the prior release via jigdo.
Brian runs a data server full of Hardy LTS machines. When installing a new machines, Andy uses the latest point release CD (hypothetically 8.04.1, 8.04.2, etc). Instead of downloading entire CD after each revision, Andy updates fro the prior release via jigdo.
Needs reworking of casper filesystem.

Whiteboard
I belive ubuntu use Debian-cd to make their images, and Debian-cd will create jigdo files if requested.

2007-11-01 kamion: This is not currently feasible because squashfs filesystems are not susceptible to having their bits separated out by jigdo. Fixing this would be a major project and it isn't even clear whether it's possible. I suggest using rsync instead. kgoetz: That's only for alternate install CDs and DVDs; it doesn't work for desktop CDs.
