This specification sets scope, goals and use cases for the Mehold project.

We want a solution that just works. Mehold uses every known trick to completely eliminate the need for configuration or at least brings it to the simplest possible level. Where such tricks don't exist, we will think of new ones. Basically, what Mehold can do for you is provide you with a service for data backup either to Amazon S3, Rackspace Cloud files, or your own servers through sftp in a simple and effective way. Everything is spiced up with rudimentary revision control built on top of Bazaar.
