PlayStation 3 compatibility

The only just launched PS3 has an interesting feature that allows users to install a third-party OS, through the PlayStation 3 Open Platform. (http://www.playstation.com/ps3-openplatform/)

The PowerPC version of Ubuntu should be made compatible with the Cell processor so it can run on the PlayStation 3.

2007-03-24 kamion: We never actually saw this specification in advance, I'm afraid, but this has been done: see e.g. http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ports/daily-live/current/ for installable images. An alternate install CD will also be available by Feisty release time.
