Removing vim from the CD

vim is a large heavy text editor that are not useful to the vast majority of desktop users, and should therefore not be included on the CD. Advanced users who use vim are almost certain to have an internet connection, mitigating the impact of this.

2006-11-03 kamion: emacs is not on the CD, and hasn't been since Breezy. I've edited the summary accordingly. Nowadays in Edgy, only vim-tiny is part of the default install; vim is shipped on the CD but is not installed by default. Including a vi implementation by default is a small cost, and significantly decreases the "what on earth?" factor from experienced system administrators, who are often influential in large deployments. Is this specification really still necessary?
