Suggest packages to install to provide missing programs

When the user attempts to run a program from the command line, and it is not found in the search path, but is known to be available from a package, the system could suggest the package to the user as a hint.

approved, provided it really doesn't pop up a gtk dialog and just prints a message on screen
mvo: work ongoing in http://people.ubuntu.com/~mvo/bzr/cmd-not-found--mvo/ 20060809: initial version uploaded to edgy/universe, outstanding issues: no support for binaries that use "update-alternatives" , no arch-specific information, no component information, does not automatically integration into bashs "command_not_found_handle" yet.
2007-01-05: settings to implemented, latest feisty upload fixes that components are displayed (others than main) and fixes the filtering of packages not in the current distro release.
